Stéphane Tremblay

Stéphane was born on July 31 in Laval, Québec, Canada. His love of traveling and exploration came through his family. At 14 he lived with is father 4 years in Colombia, South America and fall in love with this life. After graduate, he left seeking adventure in Europe (France) and at his return he was having enough fund to buy his first sailboat "Valkyria".

After one year of repair, Stéphane left going south for new challenges. Several storms and sea storys later, he trade his boat for an old wooden 36 foot trimaran engine less. With no money, he work and fix it for 6 months before leaving for cruising and for the call of the seas. Sadly he lost this boat 380 miles offshore after collision with 2 whales and 5 days storm(See story write about this here).

In the situation that he was only able to go back in Canada with a backpack and little money, he manage to leave south 6 months later with a new boat, a Contessa 26 named "Joshua". On the way he lost his charts and main engine sailing close to 1500 miles by eyes and wind all the way back to New Jersey for preparing the Peaceful Journey.
